mPS for breast cancer

AI-based system mPS (molecular prognostic score) can precisely predict overall survival of breast cancer patients

What is mPS?

Cancer is the leading cause of death in developed countries, with methods to better stratify susceptible individuals being actively pursued. We have successfully integrated one of the largest assembled breast cancer patients, and developed a universal molecular prognostic score (mPS) that will be of great value to select optimal therapy and avoid overtreatment for each patient.

We analyzed all protein-coding genes for their potential to predict survival, and validated by integrating 37 international breast cancer cohorts (nearly 7000 patients). Machine-learning algorithms known as random-forest classifier and neural network elucidated 23 genes and their weights.

All you need is the binary expression status (high or low) of those 23 genes.
